ADE SUHARTO

Ade Suharto is an Australian dance artist of Indonesian heritage. She has studied aspects of the Javanese dance canon which frames her interest in the complexity of lineage and aesthetics in choreographic work. As an ensemble performer Ade has worked with choreographers Boi Sakti, Hartati and Lemi Ponifasio, performing internationally. Ade is a Pina Bausch Fellow in Dance and Choreography, Asialink Residency Artist and Darmasiswa Scholar. She is currently sharing practice with Alison Currie, in sustained conversations with Padmini Chettur and Rachmi Diyah Larasati, and in exchange with Geraldine Balcazar on being an artist-mother.
