Say My Name

Do people struggle to say your name? Are you curious about how to pronounce interesting names of people in your neighbourhood?

Say my Name is a community based project that responds to the situation of people not getting your name right. This playful project documents local residents saying their own names correctly plus the other versions they have been called over the years. These videos will be housed on a website and Instagram page. Photography of the participants will be featured on poster walls around the City of Unley, with QR codes to access the corresponding videos.

This work is being developed by artists Paul GazzolaRosina Possingham and George Graetz.

Visit the Say My Name website here.

Would you like to share your name and story? Complete the form and we will be in touch.

The project aims to generate local participation and responds to a documented desire from residents to come together and connect with others in artistic activities that foster and enhance the local spirit of Unley.

Supported by Arts South Australia and the City of Unley.
