KASPAR SCHMIDT MUMM

Kaspar Schmidt Mumm is a multidisciplinary artist and maker. From building an 8m high hot air balloon out of painters drop sheets and a blow heater; baking sixty bread masks to eat and wear; or staging impromptu costumed performances in the street; Kaspar’s activations create folklore out of common public experiences. Kaspar has exhibited in galleries, streets, abandoned buildings and clubs around the world including Das Heeresbekleidungsamt (Berlin), The IMA (Brisbane) and Warehouse 82 (Bali). In 2019 Kaspar worked with Darren O’Donnell the Artistic Director of The Mammalian Diving Reflex in Germany and will exhibit at Seventh Gallery (Melbourne) in December.
