KIM MUNRO

Kim Munro is a documentary maker, researcher and educator living and working on unceded Kaurna land, Adelaide. Her practice includes film, sound, and installation, many of which involve close work with communities, spaces and archives. Her films have been screened on television and at local and international film festivals, as well as galleries. Kim runs the Documentary Film Society, a screening initiative dedicated to nonfiction, experimental documentary, artist moving image and conversations. Her current project, The Art of Work is a Work of Art, is an experimental archive project at Vitalstatistix which uses using sound, performance, and publication to explore histories of collectives, labour and solidarity. Kim is also the Program Director of Film & Television at the University of South Australia.

Our mission is to provide artists and non-artists with opportunities to create contemporary works that explore local ideas and new way of coming together in the public domain.
