LEILA DAY

Leila Day is a multidisciplinary artist known for her innovative use of resin and clay on canvas to recreate opalised fossils. As a maker, jewellery designer, and visual artist, she draws inspiration from the ancient inland seas and opal fields of Andamooka. Leila’s practice is characterised by a deep fascination with cephalopods and prehistoric marine life, which she brings to life through her vibrant and textured artworks. Her work celebrates the beauty of nature and its creatures, inviting viewers to explore the wonder and diversity of the natural world.
